About Amy Geller.
I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from New York University Silver School of Social Work in 1994. Upon graduating, I accepted a position at New York Downtown Hospital in New York City where I gained invaluable experience in all aspects of agency social work practice. It was there that I discovered hospice care. I followed my calling and worked at several home hospice agencies over the next decade. This work made me see the enduring potential people have for growth, even at the end of life. During this time, I added to my clinical knowledge by studying at The Ackerman Institute for the Family, where I now engage in a reflective supervision group. I also found my love for providing education, support and therapy to groups which I have used across multiple platforms. My volunteer work at Gilda's Club, a support space for people affected by cancer, is among one of my favorite experiences as a group facilitator.

I opened my private practice in 2011. Since that time, I have had the honor and privilege to be invited into the lives of many people on their path to emotional wellness. My clients have addressed many personal issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss. Individuals and couples have made their relationships more gratifying. Parents and families have gained skills to enjoy a more harmonious home life. Teens and young adults have learned coping strategies that will last into adulthood. My clinical work led me to explore my own journey as an adult adoptee and to my specialty in ADOPTION.
